The Estate Red returns for the 2020 Vintage - another example of the incredible terroir of the Kuhlman Cellars Estate.
For 2020, the blend weighted more towards Mourvedre which was just stunning (so good in fact, we did our first ever Estate Mourvèdre bottling in 2020!). We also saw increase Aglianico contributed from Block 3, as that vineyard continues to develop.
The blend:
47% Carignan
33% Mourvedre
20% Agilanico
Winemaking Notes: Our second vintage of our Estate Red showcased our Mourvedre with a bigger % in the blend. On the nose you will be welcome with fresh blackberries, plum and smoked paprika. As you are hosting your next barbecue, the flavors of cured meat, black currant and vanilla complimented with tannins will impress your guests. We recommend fatty brisket.
