Winemaking Notes: The new vintage of Hensell is wonderfully different with a new varietal, Sangiovese making about a third of the blend with Cinsault still dominating at a bit over 50% and Grenache rounding out the assemblage.
The peach color immediately invites you to picture yourself on a summer day by the lake. As you bring the glass to your nose, a fragrant hibiscus scent welcomes you, followed by a series of fresh summer fruits such as watermelon, lemon zest and peach aromas. This wine, with a refreshing acidity, packs a punch of honeydew, strawberries and cantaloupe that would compliment a chicken salad with potato chips.
