A favorite wine of Kuhlman Cellars and also a wine showing the challenges of Texas Winegrowing! The 2017 Vintage marks the first time we've managed consecutive vintages, following on the wonderful 2016 release. Since 2013, we've only made this wine 3 times due to weather catastrophe. Enjoy this wine and stock up, as there is no 2018 vintage coming (we lost that crop as well!).
This uncommon varietal for Texas is offering a beautiful nose of roasted berries and dried cranberry combined with black tea leaves and a touch of pink peppercorn. The savory characteristics, typical of the Escondido Valley terroir from West Texas, pairs nicely with wild game and Texas barbecues.
