We present to you Kuhlman Cellars' flagship 100% Texas Wine - Ignis. 

This is a special, limited release Kuhlman Cellars wine only made in exceptional vintages from 100% Newsom Vineyards fruit. Ignis, which means fire, is a wine representing the ideal of what Texas wine can achieve. 

This wine is named for the caliche "fire rocks" brought to the Neal Newsom's vineyard site long ago by nomadic Indians to use when cooking food over their fires. Over time, with many fires, these caliche rocks took on a distinct look and feel. These unique rocks communicate the importance of this vineyard - not only in history but in the specific location.  Neal's terroir allows for very low yield fruit translating intensly in the glass. 

You will enjoy notes of dates, almond and all spice perfectly pairing with grilled steak and roasted vegetables.  

The 2017 vintage is both the first - and so far, only - vintage produced. There is no 2018, 2019, or 2020 vintage. We look forward to seeing if 2021 might be another magical year.

The wine spent 21 months in French Oak (56% new oak; 22 % 1 year old; 22% 2-3 years old) before being bottled in November 2019 where it has bottled aged till it's release in October 2020.

This stunningly beautiful wine will age gracefully for 10+ years.
