This 100% Texas High Plains wine benefitted from ideal growing conditions in 2017, with extended hang time on the vine. The wine spent 21 months in 100% French Oak barrels (45% new barrels, 27 % 1 year old, 28% 2-4 years old).
NOV 2023 Tasting Notes:
After perfect cellar maturation in the bottle, this wine continue to impress. In addition to the original tasting notes, our NOV 2023 tasting observed: Medium Deep Garnet color. On the nose a dense note of creosote, wet asphalt and tar are mixed with vanilla bound dark fruits. It opens up with a beautiful perfumed nose slightly thin with some graphite and spice on the finish.

Inspired by the Bordeaux terroir of “Calcaire d’Astéries”, this Cabernet Sauvignon driven wine offers dark black cherry and plum aromatics of a classic Medoc. The fresh herbs such as verbena and “bouquet garni” lingers in your mouth with great intensity. Pair this with “steak frites” for a perfect match in the stars!
