JAN 2024 Tasting Notes:  High toned red fruit aromas. Tart raspberry, muddled blueberry, and cherry pie crust compliment toasty raw oak. Continued earthy undertones contrasts the sharpness on the nose. Medium to light bodied with soft slightly gritty tannins.  The wine continues to surprise us with it's ageability and wonderful drinkability.

DEC 2022 Tasting Notes:  This unique, complex wine is aging gracefully at 7 years.  The nice acidity and vibrant fruit is sure to spark a conversation -  earthy, violet, mocha coffee berry, eucalyptus, stewed strawberry on the palate.  Suble grippy tannins provide enough structure to pair with a variety of foods including roasted quail, coffee rubbed flank steak and a hearty stew.  This is a thinkers wine - what do you find in the glass?

Initial Release Notes:  The second release of the EXP is one of the few wines from the Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country AVA!  A wonderful field blend which is aging amazingly well and still offers vibrant fruit with good acidity and moderate tannins.
