The beautiful red cherry color of this wine enhances the aromatic nose of vibrant cherry from the Merlot and cassis from the Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the sandy loam of the High Plains of Texas. The Cabernet Franc and Carignan together are bringing more floral notes such as violet. No doubt this is an incredible explosion of aromas jumping out of the glass making this particular wine very pleasant to explore. In the mouth the flavors are also very enjoyable with hints of cedar, cassis and a pleasant finish of sweet licorice that seems to linger for a while making it a perfect complement to charcuterie or nuts.
